Make-Ready Specialist for Laurel Canyon Apartments

About the role

The Make-Ready Specialist ensures that vacant apartments at Laurel Canyon Apartments are prepared to Greystar’s quality standards for re‑leasing. This hands‑on position involves a variety of technical and mechanical tasks to turn units market‑ready quickly and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Perform all repairs and improvements required before a new resident moves in, following the community’s make‑ready checklist.
• Caulk and seal windows, sinks, toilets, bathtubs and showers as needed.
• Inspect sheetrock for damage and repair or replace it.
• Apply touch‑up paint to vacant and occupied units under supervisor direction.
• Maintain grounds, common areas and amenities by picking up trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, and painting curbs and signage.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by fixing parts instead of replacing them when possible.
• Complete required documentation and checklists in a timely manner.
• Follow Greystar’s safety policies, attend safety meetings and report incidents promptly.
• Provide courteous service to residents, answering questions and addressing maintenance complaints.

Required profile

• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, climb ladders, reach, carry objects and crawl in confined spaces for extended periods.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow checklists and safety procedures.
• Strong work ethic with a focus on efficiency and quality.
