Maintenance Technician – The Chadwick (Los Angeles)

About the role

The Maintenance Technician ensures that the physical aspects of The Chadwick property—including buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas—meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality. This onsite role involves responding to resident requests, performing preventative maintenance, and preparing vacant units for new occupants.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders generated from resident service requests and conduct preventative maintenance.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process: inspect pre‑move‑out units, create punch lists, schedule vendors, obtain supplies, perform repairs, and verify completed work.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document all service requests and maintenance activities accurately and promptly.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by picking up debris, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting curbs or signage as required.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing parts whenever possible instead of replacing them.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of multi‑family property maintenance experience.
• Availability to work weekends and a Tuesday‑Saturday schedule.
• Ability to follow safety standards, company policies, and code requirements.
