Maintenance Technician – La Morada at Weston

About the role

The Maintenance Technician ensures that the physical aspects of the property, including buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas, meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality. This full‑time, onsite position supports resident satisfaction and property readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and repairing according to policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, and final quality checks.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and timely for proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by cleaning, pressure‑washing, trash removal, and painting as needed.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts whenever possible.

Required profile

• Compliance with Greystar’s safety and risk‑management policies, including attendance at safety meetings and completion of OSHA training.
• Ability to inspect contractor work for quality and specification adherence.
• Willingness to conduct routine property inspections and report safety concerns.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, lift up to 50 lb with assistance, and work in all weather conditions.

Required skills

• EPA Type I, Type II, or Universal certification for refrigerant recycling.
• All state and local certifications required for service technicians.
• Valid driver’s license (required for operating a golf cart where applicable).
