Maintenance Technician for Active Adult Community

About the role

The Maintenance Technician ensures the physical integrity, safety, and appearance of the Everleigh Cape Cod active‑adult community. The role involves maintaining buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas to Greystar’s standards.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing defects and repairing according to policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, maintenance tasks, and final inspections.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage, returning unused items, and notifying the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Assist with grounds and common‑area upkeep, including trash removal, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting curbs and signage.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing parts when feasible and minimizing waste.

Required profile

• Ability to diagnose mechanical issues and perform repairs safely.
• Experience preparing vacant apartments for new occupants.
• Strong organizational skills for inventory and documentation management.
• Willingness to perform physical tasks such as cleaning, pressure‑washing, and painting.
