Maintenance Technician – Albion Lawrenceville

About the role

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our team at the Albion Lawrenceville property in Pittsburgh. The role ensures that all building systems, grounds, and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for safety, appearance, and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests and complete preventative maintenance work orders, diagnosing issues and performing repairs in line with policies and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, repairs, and final quality checks.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document all service activities accurately and promptly for tracking and reporting.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by removing trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, performing general cleaning, and painting curbs or signage as required.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts and using materials efficiently.

Required profile

• Ability to follow safety and risk‑management policies and attend routine safety meetings.
• Strong attention to detail for inspections, documentation, and quality assurance.
• Capability to coordinate with vendors and manage supply inventory.

Required skills

• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Experience using pressure‑washing equipment.
• Basic painting and surface‑preparation techniques.
