Maintenance Technician – Abrazo at Rice Hope

About the role

The Maintenance Technician will ensure that the physical aspects of the Abrazo at Rice Hope community meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, appearance, and functionality. This full‑time, onsite position supports the lease‑up phase of a 359‑unit cottage‑style property.

Key responsibilities

• Complete resident‑initiated work orders and preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and performing repairs in line with policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Execute the make‑ready process for vacant units, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, maintenance tasks, and final inspections.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage, returning unused items, and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and amenities by removing debris, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting curbs and signage as required.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible and using materials efficiently.

Required profile

• Ability to follow established policies, procedures, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Strong attention to detail for inspections, documentation, and inventory management.
• Willingness to work a Monday‑Friday schedule (8 am‑5 pm) with a rotating on‑call rotation.
