Litigation Associate

About the role

Germer PLLC is seeking a Litigation Associate to join its Tyler, Texas office. The role offers hands‑on experience in insurance defense and construction litigation while providing exposure to the firm’s broader civil litigation practice.

Key responsibilities

• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, legal memoranda, and other court documents.
• Prepare client reports and case evaluations.
• Attend hearings, depositions, and mediations as needed.
• Assist with case strategy, file management, and deadline coordination.
• Support trial preparation and participate in trial when appropriate.
• Manage multiple active matters in a fast‑paced environment.

Required profile

• J.D. from an ABA‑accredited law school.
• Admission to practice law in Texas.
• 2–5 years of litigation experience (preferred).
• Strong writing, analytical, and organizational abilities.
• Capacity to handle several matters simultaneously.
• Self‑motivated with a desire to grow as a litigator.
