Legal Operations Analyst (Independent Contractor)

About the role

World Business Lenders provides short-term commercial loans backed by real estate to small and medium-sized businesses in the United States. It is hiring a Legal Operations Analyst as a full-time independent contractor, working 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Eastern Standard Time, Monday to Friday, fully remotely. The analyst supports the Legal Operations team by reviewing and verifying corporate, legal and commercial lending documentation for U.S. businesses, ensuring accuracy, completeness and consistency with internal requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Review corporate documents such as Articles of Incorporation, Articles of Organization, bylaws, operating agreements and certificates of good standing.
• Review corporate resolutions, ownership records, trust documents and other documents establishing business ownership and authorization.
• Review and draft commercial lending documents, including promissory notes, loan agreements, guarantees and related financing documents.
• Identify missing, incomplete, inconsistent or potentially deficient documentation and coordinate its resolution with internal teams.
• Research U.S. business entity requirements and state-specific corporate documentation.
• Maintain accurate records of document reviews and help improve internal review procedures and workflows.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in law, Paralegal Studies, Business or a related field; a paralegal certificate or law degree.
• Proven experience reviewing corporate legal documents; paralegals, recent law school graduates and postgraduate candidates with relevant hands-on corporate law experience are encouraged to apply.
• Working knowledge of U.S. business entity structures, including corporations and LLCs.
• Familiarity with corporate governance documents and commercial lending documents, especially promissory notes and loan agreements.
• Strong analytical, research, organizational and written communication skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
• Strong English communication skills are a key requirement.
