Kitchen Attendant – Senior Living Community

About the role

Join Lifespace as a Kitchen Attendant and play a vital part in keeping our senior living community’s kitchen clean, safe, and well‑stocked. You will work alongside a supportive team to ensure residents receive high‑quality dining experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize pots, dishes, utensils, carts, and other kitchen items using mechanical dishwashers or hand‑washing methods.
• Stock and rotate food and non‑food supplies, following proper storage techniques.
• Maintain correct chemical levels and temperatures for dish machines and sinks.
• Perform end‑of‑day closedown tasks: sweep and mop floors, remove trash, turn off equipment, and secure storage areas.

Required profile

• No formal education required.
• No prior experience necessary; a willingness to learn is essential.
• Ability to follow safety and sanitation guidelines.

Required skills

• Operation of commercial dishwashing equipment.
• Basic stock rotation and inventory handling.
• Understanding of chemical safety for cleaning agents.
