IT Technician – Technical Support & Maintenance

About the role

The IT Technician provides day‑to‑day technical support and maintenance for the organization’s computer systems, hardware, software, and network infrastructure. The role ensures employees can work efficiently by resolving issues quickly and keeping technology up‑to‑date.

Key responsibilities

• Provide on‑site support for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices and peripheral equipment.
• Install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot hardware and software systems.
• Assist users with password resets, account access and connectivity problems.
• Maintain network infrastructure including Wi‑Fi, switches and basic cabling.
• Perform routine system updates, patches and preventive maintenance.
• Set up and configure workstations, tablets, interactive panels and email accounts.
• Document support tickets, resolutions, inventory changes and system modifications.
• Support data backup, recovery procedures and follow cybersecurity best practices.
• Coordinate with vendors for equipment repair and manage IT inventory.
• Provide multimedia presentation and communication technology support as needed.

Required profile

• Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field (preferred).
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+ or Microsoft certifications (a plus).
• Previous technical support or help‑desk experience.
• Ability to lift equipment up to 50 lb and work in server or network areas.
• Strong problem‑solving, communication and customer‑service skills.
