Inventory Control Technician

About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is seeking an Inventory Control Technician to join its Procurement and Inventory team. In this role you will help maintain accurate inventory records, support supply chain operations, and ensure that clinical and research departments have the materials they need.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor inventory levels across multiple locations and initiate replenishment orders as needed.
• Perform regular cycle counts, reconcile discrepancies, and update inventory management systems.
• Maintain detailed records of receipts, transfers, and disposals in compliance with university policies.
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal departments to resolve stock issues and ensure timely delivery.
• Generate inventory reports and assist with audits and compliance reviews.
• Support procurement activities by providing accurate stock data and assisting with purchase order processing.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in logistics, supply chain, or related field is a plus.
• Prior experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or procurement preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast‑paced environment.
• Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with diverse teams.
