HVAC Technician - Nights & Weekends

About the role

CACI is hiring a Master HVAC Technician in Springfield, VA to support a mission-critical client in a high-security environment, providing essential support to U.S. military intelligence operations. The role involves advanced HVAC systems in Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs) and requires night and weekend availability. It is a regular, full-time position with up to 10% local travel, and is contingent on funding.

Key responsibilities

• Perform inspections, maintenance and repairs on complex HVAC systems in SCIFs
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with sophisticated environmental control systems
• Respond to service calls and emergencies, including after hours
• Install and modify HVAC equipment to meet security and operational needs
• Work with engineering personnel to plan and implement system improvements
• Produce technical documentation and reports using CMMS
• Provide technical assistance in mobile facility environments, including possible worldwide deployments

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree with 3 years of experience, or 10 years of combined education and experience with a valid Master HVAC license, or 12 years of equivalent military HVAC training/certification
• Active TS/SCI clearance (or ability to obtain it)
• NATE certification
• Extensive experience fault isolating and repairing tactical and strategic environmental systems
• Ability to work nights and weekends
• U.S. citizenship
