General Maintenance Technician (Journeyman Level)

About the role

CACI is looking for a journeyman-level General Maintenance Technician to support its mission-critical program in Springfield, Virginia. The position is full time, regular, requires a TS/SCI clearance and involves up to 10% local travel. It is contingent on funding and may not be filled immediately.

Key responsibilities

• Complete general and specialized trade work such as electrical, carpentry, painting, concrete, plumbing, welding and drywall, including ceiling system repair
• Maintain the structure around a facility, such as fencing and gates
• Perform infrastructure sustainment tasks such as changing bulbs and painting
• Repair and change locks and perform complex lock servicing
• Develop supply estimates, gather technical data, evaluate safety procedures and material and fiscal requirements for projects
• Assist the project coordinator with planning, cost estimating, design and completion of local projects
• Interpret construction and building blueprints and apply knowledge of OSHA, ECAP and the NEC

Required profile

• Vocational or high school diploma or equivalent, with five years' experience as a General Maintenance Technician
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, walk several flights of stairs and work on elevated surfaces or in outdoor weather
• US citizen; TS/SCI clearance required

• Trade skills: electrical, carpentry, painting, concrete, plumbing, welding and drywall
• Reading diagrams, specifications, manuals and supply/cost estimates
• Troubleshooting and communicating system problems to co-workers and management
• Evaluating computer-related work orders accurately
