Human Resources Generalist

About the role

Adore Me is looking for a proactive Human Resources Generalist to join its New York City team. The role will act as a trusted partner for employees and managers, delivering end‑to‑end HR support across the employee lifecycle in a fast‑moving, entrepreneurial environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide guidance on HR policies, employee relations, and best practices as a trusted partner.
• Manage day‑to‑day HR operations, including onboarding, off‑boarding, employee engagement, and HRIS data integrity.
• Support recruitment activities such as job posting, sourcing, interview coordination, offer processing, and new‑hire onboarding.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for employee HR questions.
• Assist with performance management, employee development initiatives, and engagement programs.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and New York labor regulations.
• Handle employee‑relations matters, including investigations, documentation, and resolution support across corporate, retail, and warehouse teams.
• Maintain accurate employee records and generate HR reports and analytics as needed.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of HR processes, policies, and employee experience.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience as an HR Generalist or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices, especially New York regulations.
• SHRM‑CP or PHR certification is a plus.
• Ability to work on‑site at the Tribeca office on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.

Required skills

• Experience with HRIS systems, preferably ADP.
