About the role
Maui X Lolita is a female‑owned, luxury clothing brand based in New York City. The Human Resources Coordinator will support the entire employee lifecycle, from recruitment to onboarding, employee relations, and compliance, ensuring a smooth and engaging experience for all staff.
Key responsibilities
- Provide operational support to the Leadership Team.
- Coordinate full‑cycle recruitment, including sourcing, interview scheduling, candidate communication, pipeline management, and offer extensions.
- Draft employment‑related correspondence such as onboarding packets and verification letters.
- Manage new‑hire onboarding and orientation to deliver a seamless experience.
- Maintain accurate, confidential employee records, HR documents, and personnel files.
- Respond to employee inquiries within 24 hours, escalating when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
- Update reports, organizational charts, and workforce data regularly.
- Conduct audits, track tasks, and recommend improvements based on best practices.
- Assist in developing and implementing office and company policies.
- Document processes with SOPs and support future team growth.
- Perform ad‑hoc duties as assigned.
Required profile
- 1–3 years of experience in Human Resources, People Operations, Recruiting, or related administration.
- Excellent organizational ability with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Proactive problem‑solver who can adapt quickly in a fast‑paced environment.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Notion or similar knowledge‑base tools.
- Microsoft Office Suite.
- Google Workspace.
- Adobe Creative Suite.
- Experience with HRIS platforms.
