HR Generalist II – Employee Relations & Operations

About the role
The HR Generalist II supports employees and managers across Core Health & Fitness by delivering effective communication, administration, and HR services. Reporting to the Sr. HR Manager, this role covers a broad spectrum of HR functions within a dynamic fitness environment.
Key responsibilities
- Build strong business partner relationships, understand global business goals, and address employee relations issues.
- Promote a harmonious workplace, advising on benefits, leaves, policies, and resolving HR queries.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of EEO, ADA, FMLA, and other employment laws; assist with leave administration.
- Support safety administration: conduct accident investigations, manage return‑to‑work programs, workers’ compensation claims, TCIR calculations, OSHA logs and annual filings.
- Assist recruiting: create job postings, place ads, screen resumes, conduct interviews, perform reference checks, and present qualified candidates to hiring managers.
- Facilitate onboarding and off‑boarding, including orientation, I‑9 compliance, and exit processes.
- Maintain HRIS data, compile HR metrics, and ensure compliance with legal reporting requirements.
Required profile
- Experience providing HR support across multiple functions such as recruiting, employee relations, compliance, and safety.
- Ability to conduct pre‑employment screenings, reference checks, and respond to routine HR policy questions.
- Strong understanding of employment legislation (EEO, ADA, FMLA) and safety regulations.
- Effective communication skills to partner with managers and employees.
