About the role
The University of Arkansas at Monticello seeks a Graduate Assistant for its Music Department. This 12‑month appointment supports a one‑year master’s degree in jazz studies and provides hands‑on experience in teaching and performance.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct ensembles and lead rehearsals.
- Teach music methods courses and applied lessons.
- Assist with curriculum delivery and student mentorship.
- Perform as needed in various ensembles.
- Support additional duties assigned by the Division of Music.
Required profile
- Bachelor of Music degree or at least 18 credit hours in performance, education, or jazz.
- Admission to the Graduate School at UAM or another accredited institution.
- Completion of baccalaureate requirements before enrolling in graduate coursework.
- Demonstrated competency on at least one primary instrument.
