Fuels Handling Equipment (FHE) Superintendent

About the role

Amentum is looking for a Fuels Handling Equipment (FHE) Superintendent who manages all aspects of the site Fuels program. The role ensures compliance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS) and USAF requirements, works with the Fuels Functional Manager to improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction, and complies with the Amentum ISO 9001 Quality Management System.

Key responsibilities

• Provide leadership and supervision to all Fuels employees, assign work priorities and coordinate Fuels support with management and other functional areas.
• Review and implement Fuels reconstitution goals, ensure scheduled inspections are performed, and compile reports on asset status, inspections, inventory, reconstitution and storage.
• Identify asset deficiencies and submit Product Quality Deficiency Reports (PQDRs) as required.
• Take part in Quality Corrective Action Working Groups to develop corrective and preventive actions for audit findings and update the QMS.
• Submit periodic maintenance inspection, reconstitution and man-hour data, and ensure timesheets are accurate and overtime is warranted before approval.
• Verify that technical inspections and functional checks comply with technical data and work instructions before shipping Fuels assets.
• Conduct performance evaluations within the required timeframe, ensure adequate Fuels training and keep training records up to date.
• Review parts and material requirements, account for bulk fuel used for generators and vehicles, and approve monthly Fuels receipts.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; at least five years of USAF or US Service equivalent supervisory experience (ten years preferred).
• Familiarity with USAF or US Service Fuels Operations; Fuels Apprentice Course or FORCE Course certificate or experience desired; refueling maintenance experience desired.
• Valid home country driver's license and ability to obtain a host nation driver's license; U.S. citizenship required to obtain a Secret clearance.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Government clearance; domestic and international travel required.
• Physical capability to lift, push or pull at least 50 lbs and to wear PPE; work may be in an office, maintenance shop or warehouse and outdoors for long periods.

Required skills

• Proficiency with personal computers, Windows and Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
• Planning and organizing skills, working under deadlines.
