Foreman - Landscape Construction

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Foreman to lead our landscape construction crews. The role involves overseeing daily tasks, ensuring safety compliance, and delivering high‑quality landscaping projects on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and coordinate the daily work of crew members.
• Read and interpret plans, specifications, and site logistics to determine material needs.
• Operate and maintain standard landscape equipment such as mini excavators, bobcats, backhoes, and roto‑tillers.
• Conduct weekly safety (tailgate) meetings and enforce OSHA regulations.
• Maintain daily logs of progress, attendance, and equipment maintenance.

Required profile

• Active membership in Local Union 1184.
• Valid California driver’s license with a clean driving/DMV record.
• Prior knowledge of landscape and construction equipment preferred.

Required skills

• Operation of mini excavator.
• Operation of bobcat.
• Operation of backhoe.
• Operation of roto‑tiller.
• Understanding of irrigation, grading, planting, and drainage systems.
