Financial Controller – Remote (USA/Canada)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead accounting and financial operations across multiple international entities. Reporting to executive leadership, you will oversee a small offshore accounting team and ensure accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and efficient finance processes.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee full‑cycle accounting, including month‑end and year‑end close processes.
• Manage and mentor a small offshore accounting team.
• Prepare monthly financial reporting packages to support executive decision‑making.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis activities.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP and applicable local statutory requirements.
• Coordinate external audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting.
• Develop and maintain strong internal controls and financial processes.
• Partner with cross‑functional teams on treasury, payroll, tax, and HR initiatives.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.

Required profile

• 8+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
• Experience managing full‑cycle accounting in a multi‑entity or international environment.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience leading remote or offshore accounting teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Detail‑oriented with a process‑improvement mindset.
• Preferred: CPA, CA, ACCA, or equivalent designation.
