Sr. Associate, Fraud Transformation & Platform Enablement

About the role

The Sr. Associate, Fraud Transformation & Platform Enablement leads all fraud‑related projects for Santander, ensuring clear business and technical requirements, comprehensive testing, and coordinated implementation. This role supports the bank’s consolidation, acquisition, and digital transformation initiatives while expanding fraud operations across multiple business units.

Key responsibilities

• Execute the Fraud BoW and Agile project implementation across SBNA, OpenBank digital transformation, Webster Bank acquisition system, and fraud tool/process integration.
• Define strategic plans, gather requirements, conduct user testing, and manage project governance, change management, reporting, and post‑implementation monitoring.
• Analyze fraud systems and controls to support bank consolidation, assess current state, compare environments, evaluate vendors, and recommend future‑state roadmaps.
• Lead fraud risk due diligence and risk assessment during mergers and acquisitions, reviewing target institutions’ fraud operating models, systems, controls, and governance.
• Conduct comparative analysis of legacy fraud platforms, vendor tools, rules engines, and case‑management solutions to determine optimal fraud‑prevention strategies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 9+ years of experience in risk management, fraud operations, or related financial services functions.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects, coordinate cross‑functional teams, and deliver results in a fast‑changing environment.
