Field Material Controller – Construction Projects

About the role

Jacobs is seeking a Field Material Controller to support a large‑scale Advanced Manufacturing construction project in Saint Francisville, LA. You will ensure that all material movements, shipments, and documentation align with project requirements and supplier agreements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and apply material control processes, procurement principles, and supplier relationship expectations.
• Review Shipment Release Requests, approve authorizations per purchase order terms, and guide stakeholders through the shipment process.
• Administer Material Receiving Reports (MRRs), Material Issue Requests (MIRs) and Over/Under/Damaged (OS&D) reports.
• Maintain a register of materials requiring preservation and keep material control documentation in a central repository.
• Identify material‑control risks, propose remedies, and participate in OS&D resolution.
• Coordinate with project and departmental personnel while working under close supervision.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in business, construction, supply chain, operations management, or equivalent experience.
• Prior site experience on complex, large‑scale construction projects.
• Willingness to obtain an OSHA 10‑hour Construction Certificate (OSHA 30 preferred).
• Interest in a career in Construction Management or Procurement.
