Feed Mill Mixer/Operator – 1st Shift

About the role

The Feed Mill Mixer/Operator works the 1st shift (5:00 am‑1:30 pm, Monday‑Friday) to mix micro‑ingredients according to formulas, stage them, and ensure smooth feed production. The role includes equipment operation, routine maintenance, quality checks and compliance with FSMA and other regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Mix and route feed using batching controller, mixing and routing equipment, and destination bins according to formulas and schedule.
• Communicate production schedules with personnel to maximise efficiency while following FDA, GMP and QC procedures.
• Complete and maintain reports, logs and documents in an orderly manner.
• Monitor, adjust and maintain equipment, performing preventive maintenance and cleaning.
• Report equipment malfunctions and perform routine housekeeping.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, FSMA regulations and all applicable laws.
• Prevent product loss and ensure trucks leave empty.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to perform basic math (proportions, percentages, volume, etc.).
• Basic computer knowledge and ability to read/write legibly.
• Self‑motivated, able to work unsupervised.
• Honest work ethic and sound moral character.
• Previous feed‑mill experience preferred.
