Facilities and Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Facilities and Maintenance Technician supports the Museum of Ice Cream’s site operations, working closely with Production, Construction, and Events teams under the guidance of the Facilities and Maintenance Manager. The role blends daily troubleshooting with larger project assistance, ensuring the museum remains safe, functional, and show‑ready.

Key responsibilities

• Complete daily task list from the Daily Binder and manage cleaning‑supply orders.
• Repair and maintain equipment, predict facility needs for events and resets.
• Perform weekly preventive maintenance: painting, light plumbing/electrical work, equipment diagnostics, and cleaning.
• Take weekly inventory of supplies, handle shipping and receiving, and ensure compliance with uniform policy.
• Conduct fire watch, organize storage/mechanical closets, and maintain exterior cleanliness.
• Maintain hourly cleaning sheets, respond to on‑call work, and ensure checklists are complete.
• Work flexible shifts, including evenings, early mornings, and weekends, and submit daily reports.
