ENT Physician – Full-time

About the role

Ochsner Health, a long‑standing health system in the Northshore Region of Louisiana, is seeking a board‑certified or board‑eligible ENT physician to join its multidisciplinary team in Slidell. The physician will deliver high‑quality otolaryngology care, collaborate with colleagues, and uphold Ochsner’s core values of Patients First, Integrity, Compassion, Inclusivity, Teamwork and Excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Examine patients, diagnose ENT conditions, and prescribe appropriate medications, treatments, and follow‑up care.
• Develop and coordinate interdisciplinary treatment plans with surgeons, audiologists, speech therapists and other specialists.
• Document patient encounters promptly in the Electronic Health Record and ensure accurate coding of all visits.
• Order additional diagnostic evaluations, make referrals, and manage ongoing patient care.
• Adhere to all hospital policies, credentialing standards, and federal, state and local regulations governing medical practice.

Required profile

• Board certification or eligibility in Otolaryngology (ENT).
• Valid Louisiana medical license (or willingness to obtain).
• MD or DO degree and credentialed to maintain an active clinical practice.
• Commitment to professional standards, teamwork and continuous learning.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems for timely documentation.
• Knowledge of medical coding and billing procedures for ENT services.
