Emergency Medicine Physician – San Luis Obispo, CA

About the role

Vituity is seeking board‑eligible or board‑certified Emergency Medicine physicians to join the team at French Hospital Medical Center in San Luis Obispo, CA. You will work in an 18‑bed Emergency Department of a 90‑bed facility that serves a diverse, largely geriatric patient population.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive emergency care to an average of 30,000 annual visits.
• Assess, diagnose, and treat acute medical conditions, including STEMI and stroke.
• Collaborate with specialty services and ensure appropriate admissions (≈15% admit rate).
• Participate in on‑call rotations and maintain high standards of patient safety and quality.

Required profile

• Board‑eligible or board‑certified in Emergency Medicine.
• Previous Emergency Department experience preferred.
• Current California medical license is a plus.
• Ability to work effectively with a geriatric patient mix.
