Electrical Linemen

About the role

VersaTech is seeking a Class A Lineman to safely perform skilled electrical line work on overhead distribution systems for construction, operation, maintenance, and repair projects.

Key responsibilities

• Work safely on energized and de‑energized overhead lines, setting poles, anchors, transformers, lightning arrestors, cutouts, cross‑arms, insulators, switches, and switchgear.
• Operate digger trucks and bucket trucks of various sizes, troubleshoot primary and secondary systems, and perform grounding and cover‑up installations.
• Operate overhead buckets to set transformers and pull primary and secondary conductors on electric distribution systems.
• Assist electrical crews and perform additional duties as assigned when not engaged in lineman work.

Required profile

• Experience with medium to high voltage systems (480 V, 4160 V and above).
• Ability to operate heavy equipment such as digger trucks and bucket trucks safely.
• Capability to work on both energized and de‑energized lines in various environments.

Required skills

• Medium to high voltage experience (480 V, 4160 V+).
• Operation of digger trucks and bucket trucks.
• Troubleshooting of primary and secondary electrical systems.
• Installation and removal of proper cover‑up and grounding.
