Driller's Assistant – Field Operations

About the role

Join ConeTec, a leading geotechnical site‑investigation provider, as a Driller's Assistant. You will support field operators and engineers on a variety of drilling projects, gaining hands‑on experience with heavy‑machinery and in‑situ testing equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Set‑up, operate and maintain drilling rigs, sampling systems and geophysical instruments following company procedures.
• Assist engineers and technicians with equipment mobilisation, demobilisation and routine maintenance.
• Support safe work practices, report incidents and follow HSE protocols.
• Communicate equipment issues and field observations to supervisors or project managers.
• Participate in continuous improvement of operating procedures.

Required profile

• Strong desire to learn and develop technical skills in a field environment.
• Energetic work ethic and willingness to work in challenging, outdoor conditions.
• Ability to follow safety guidelines and report any incidents promptly.
