DevOps Engineer – GCP Cloud Infrastructure

About the role

LightFeather is looking for a DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for high‑security government projects. You will work in a hybrid setting, collaborating with engineers, security teams, and government stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage GCP infrastructure that meets FedRAMP and NIST standards.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure‑as‑code using Terraform, Deployment Manager, or Ansible.
• Build, automate, and manage CI/CD pipelines with tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, or Cloud Build.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot incidents, and ensure service level agreements are met.
• Document solutions and share knowledge across the engineering team.

Required profile

• U.S. citizenship and willingness to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
• 4+ years of cloud engineering experience, including at least 2 years with GCP.
• Hands‑on experience with core GCP services (Compute Engine, Cloud Functions, VPC, IAM, GKE, BigQuery).
• Proficiency with IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible, Deployment Manager) and CI/CD platforms.
• Strong Linux, networking, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) background.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
