Desktop Migration Support Technician (3‑Month Contract)

About the role

We are looking for a Desktop Migration Support Technician on a 3‑month contract to lead a high‑profile CMMC domain migration across multiple U.S. sites. The role combines technical precision with a “white‑glove” service approach, ensuring secure, compliant transitions of PCs and user accounts.

Key responsibilities

• Transition PCs and user accounts into a secure, CMMC‑compliant domain environment.
• Manage the full migration lifecycle: hardware imaging, PXE boot, backup, restoration, and validation of user profiles and applications.
• Coordinate device handoffs and guide end users through post‑migration setup, including MFA enrollment.
• Maintain detailed migration checklists and ensure strict adherence to process standards.
• Travel to major U.S. cities (up to 90% travel) to perform on‑site cutovers.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on desktop or IT field support experience.
• Strong knowledge of Windows 10 and Windows 11 enterprise environments.
• Detail‑oriented, process‑driven, and able to follow complex migration procedures.
• Excellent communication skills for guiding end users.
