Custodian Lead

About the role

Amentum is seeking a Custodian Lead in Fort Gordon, Georgia. The Custodian Lead provides team lead oversight and performs custodian duties throughout the facility, including supervising the custodial team and handling day-to-day housekeeping operations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee critical day-to-day operations in the supervisor's absence and give routine direction to custodial team members.
• Act as liaison between the custodial team and the supervisor, notify the supervisor of quality control issues or needed repairs, and perform quality control inspections.
• Train new employees and respond to daily work orders and emergency requests as instructed.
• Clean, sanitize and deep-clean bathrooms and kitchenettes daily; sweep, mop, vacuum, shampoo and polish floors according to the weekly plan; clean under desks, hallways, conference rooms and workspaces multiple times per week or on request.
• Clean interior windows up to 7 feet high and dust all other surfaces; remove and dispose of trash 2-3 times daily; replenish restroom supplies.
• Monitor and report maintenance issues or safety hazards, follow safety procedures, and maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and US citizenship.
• Ability to obtain and/or maintain a government-issued clearance at the time of application.
• Physical ability to stand, walk and move for the full shift, bend and kneel repeatedly, and lift and carry standard facilities equipment and full trash bins.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills to manage multi-functional teams, and effective communication and problem-solving skills.

• Compensation of $48,000-$52,000 annually USD.
