Converting Operator – Tier One (First Shift)

About the role

Pregis is seeking a reliable Converting Operator for the first shift to run its high‑speed converting machines in Sussex, WI. You will help produce packaging solutions while maintaining safety, quality, and efficiency standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate assigned converting machine(s) safely and efficiently.
• Inspect product visually to prevent non‑conforming goods and reduce waste.
• Meet or exceed production performance targets and record data promptly.
• Perform housekeeping, 5S activities, and maintain a clean work area.
• Conduct quality audits, record defects, and create labels.
• Pack and palletize finished goods for shipment.
• Manage production supplies to minimize machine downtime.
• Communicate shift hand‑offs and assist coworkers as needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Three years of related manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, bend, twist, and stand for long periods.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to work overtime.
• Dependable, team‑oriented, and able to follow safety procedures.
