Controller – $160k‑$190k + Bonus (Atlanta)

About the role

The Controller will lead all financial operations for a fast‑growing manufacturing and distribution business based in Atlanta. Reporting to the CFO, you will translate financial data into actionable insights, manage cash flow, and support strategic planning.

Key responsibilities

• Lead month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close processes to deliver GAAP‑compliant financial statements.
• Develop KPI‑driven reporting packages that highlight cash flow, variance trends and performance drivers.
• Partner with Operations and Sales on budgeting, forecasting and monthly operating reviews.
• Serve as primary liaison for external auditors and tax advisors, ensuring audit readiness and sales‑tax compliance.
• Oversee the India‑based accounting shared‑services team (AP, AR, journal entries, reconciliations) and enforce governance, controls and quality standards.
• Drive continuous improvement and automation of close processes in collaboration with ERP owners.
• Manage cost accounting for raw materials, work‑in‑process and finished goods inventories.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a controller or senior finance leadership role within manufacturing or distribution.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP, audit processes and tax compliance.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional teams and influence executive decision‑making.
• Excellent analytical mindset with a focus on process improvement and accountability.
