Compliance Attorney – Remote (Legal Expert)

About the role

We are seeking experienced compliance and regulatory attorneys to create realistic legal scenarios and evaluate the outputs of advanced language models. This remote position focuses on a wide range of regulatory domains, including AML/BSA, FCPA, FDA, HIPAA, sanctions, and privacy.

Key responsibilities

• Design realistic regulatory scenarios covering AML/SAR preparation, OFAC screening, FCPA assessments, FDA submissions, HIPAA reviews, and privacy impact assessments.
• Author attorney‑level “golden” reference responses to serve as benchmark outputs for model training.
• Evaluate and grade model‑generated legal responses against structured rubrics, providing written feedback to improve model behavior.
• Participate in onboarding sessions and specialty calibration reviews with the research team.

Required profile

• Strong experience in regulatory or compliance law within a law firm, in‑house legal department, government agency, or regulatory body.
• J.D. (U.S./Canada) or LL.B./LL.M. from an accredited law school; active or inactive U.S. law license required.
• Demonstrated expertise in one or more specialized domains such as AML/BSA, OFAC sanctions, FCPA/anti‑corruption, healthcare regulatory (HIPAA, Stark Law, Anti‑Kickback, Medicare/Medicaid), FDA submissions, privacy (GDPR/CCPA/DPIA), environmental permitting, or export control.
• Exceptional written communication skills with rigorous attention to detail.
