Community Manager – Alta New Carrollton

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Community Manager for its Alta New Carrollton property in Hyattsville, MD. The role oversees daily operations, manages the on‑site team, and ensures the property meets its financial and operational targets while complying with all relevant regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing the property budget by reviewing financial statements, market data and operational reports.
• Set rent rates, collect rent and fees, process bank deposits and prepare monthly financial status reports.
• Approve vendor invoices, verify insurance certificates, code charges to the appropriate chart of accounts and coordinate with accounting and owners.
• Manage petty cash and control expenditures within the approved budget.
• Oversee lease enforcement, including approving applications, processing renewals, conducting apartment inspections, issuing notices, handling evictions and collecting late fees.
• Analyze market and economic trends to shape short‑ and long‑term marketing and leasing strategies that drive occupancy and revenue.
• Promote resident satisfaction through responsive service and community initiatives.

Required profile

• Experience in multifamily property management or community management.
• Strong understanding of Fair Housing, ADA, Fair Credit Reporting Act and other multifamily regulations.
• Ability to interpret financial data and manage budgets.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
