About the role
HDR is looking for a dynamic Communications Coordinator to support infrastructure projects across its diverse service lines. The role blends strategic planning, media relations, and stakeholder engagement to amplify HDR’s impact and promote its commitment to sustainability and innovation.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement internal and external communications plans, including audience targeting, media relations, collateral creation, social‑media content, and activity reporting.
- Plan and manage events such as public meetings, hearings, open houses, focus groups, workshops, and advisory committee sessions.
- Draft press releases, articles, blog posts, and other written communications materials.
- Produce public notices, monitor media coverage, and compile media wrap‑up reports for television, print, and radio.
- Maintain and manage comment databases and related distribution processes.
Required profile
- Professional background in public relations or communications with a passion for innovative storytelling.
- Ability to think creatively and work strategically on complex infrastructure projects.
- Strong written communication skills and attention to detail.
