Clinical Research Coordinator 1 – Cancer Survivorship & Lifestyle Research

About the role

The University of Miami/UHealth department of SCCC seeks a full‑time Clinical Research Coordinator I to support oncology‑focused lifestyle and behavioral studies across Miami‑Dade and Broward counties. This entry‑level, clinic‑based position involves direct participant interaction, data collection, and protocol coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, screen, and consent study participants; conduct in‑person and remote follow‑up visits.
• Coordinate data collection activities such as questionnaires, physical function assessments, wearable device placement, biospecimen handling, and medical record review.
• Maintain study logs, schedule appointments, manage study materials, and ensure protocol compliance.
• Serve as liaison among participants, investigators, clinic staff, and research team to keep studies on schedule.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Public Health, Nutrition, Exercise Physiology, Nursing).
• Minimum 1 year of research experience.
• Fluency in Spanish strongly preferred; Haitian Creole a plus.
• Reliable transportation for travel throughout South Florida.

Required skills

• CCRC, CCRP, or CCRA certification preferred.
• Ability to handle confidential information and obtain informed consent.
• Strong organizational, time‑management, and communication abilities.
