Clinical Pharmacist – 6‑Month Contract (Remote option)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Clinical Pharmacist to join a fast‑growing healthcare initiative focused on medication adherence, patient outcomes, and comprehensive pharmacy care management. This 6‑month contract role offers the flexibility of remote work while supporting members through medication therapy management and utilization review.

Key responsibilities

• Review prior‑authorization requests and determine coverage eligibility based on member benefits and clinical guidelines.
• Conduct comprehensive medication reviews (CMR) and medication therapy management (MTM) activities.
• Contact members to address medication adherence gaps and provide clinical guidance.
• Collaborate with case managers and healthcare teams to improve member outcomes.
• Analyze utilization review data and prepare compliance reporting summaries.
• Maintain quality‑control standards across pharmacy review practices.
• Support pharmacy technicians on clinical and operational matters.
• Research drug information and stay current on disease states and formulary criteria.

Required profile

• Active pharmacist license in the practicing state.
• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (PharmD preferred) with 3+ years of pharmacist experience.
• Strong computer proficiency and prior work‑from‑home experience.
• Excellent communication and member‑engagement skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with pharmacy coding systems: NDC, GCN, GPI, NCPDP.
