Cataract Account Manager – St. Louis, Eastern Missouri

About the role

Alcon is seeking a Cataract Account Manager to drive sales of surgical ophthalmic products in the St. Louis and Eastern Missouri territory. The role focuses on building strong relationships with eye‑care professionals, promoting Alcon’s portfolio, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve sales targets for assigned accounts and territory.
• Promote and sell Alcon surgical ophthalmic products through demonstrations, meetings and events.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders and high‑volume users.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities and expand market penetration.
• Conduct competitive market analysis and adjust strategies to protect market share.
• Maintain accurate customer database, sales reports and documentation in company systems.
• Coordinate local meetings, ensuring appropriate materials, samples and audiovisual aids are available.
• Represent Alcon with professional appearance and uphold company image.

Required profile

• Relevant education and experience to perform sales responsibilities in the ophthalmic field.
• Proven ability to lead local sales activities and manage key customer relationships.
• Strong communication and presentation skills with eye‑care professionals.
• Ability to travel frequently within the territory and attend customer events.
• Self‑motivated, results‑oriented and capable of working independently.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Alcon’s surgical ophthalmic product portfolio.
• Experience with product demonstrations and sales reporting.
