Associate Telecom Systems Administrator

About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is seeking an Associate Telecom Systems Administrator to join its IT Unified Communications team. This position supports the university’s telecom infrastructure, ensuring reliable voice, video, and data services for staff, faculty, and patients.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of telecom equipment and unified communication platforms.
• Provide day‑to‑day technical support for voice, video conferencing, and related services.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate repairs or upgrades.
• Collaborate with IT staff to integrate telecom solutions with broader network and security initiatives.
• Document procedures, configurations, and incident resolutions.

Required profile

• Current University of Arkansas System employee (including student employees and graduate assistants) eligible to work in the United States.
• Interest in telecommunications and unified communications technologies.
