Assistant Superintendent – Commercial Construction

About the role

We are looking for a motivated and detail‑oriented Assistant Superintendent to support the delivery of commercial construction projects across Southeast Michigan. Based in our Auburn Hills office, you will work closely with the Superintendent to keep sites safe, on schedule, and meeting high quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning and coordinating short‑term (2‑4 week) jobsite activities and communicate plans with trade contractors.
• Support development and maintenance of the project schedule, including three‑week look‑ahead planning.
• Monitor contractor performance to ensure alignment with timelines and project requirements.
• Facilitate timely approvals and documentation with architects, engineers, and governing authorities.
• Uphold jobsite safety, quality, environmental standards, and cleanliness at all times.
• Maintain detailed daily reports documenting site activity, progress, and key events.
• Track labor hours and submit trade hours and labor reports as required.
• Participate in and help lead onsite coordination and progress meetings.
• Assist with project close‑out to ensure all work meets company standards.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in a Superintendent or similar field role.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field (preferred).

Required skills

• Experience with Project Sight, Phoenix, Textura, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong understanding of commercial construction processes.
• Excellent planning, scheduling, and organizational abilities.
