Assistant Service Supervisor – Property Maintenance

About the role

The Assistant Service Supervisor supports the maintenance team in ensuring that all building systems, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality. This onsite position works directly with resident service requests and property‑wide preventative maintenance programs.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders generated from resident service requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and repairing according to policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, maintenance tasks, and final inspections.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage, returning unused items, and notifying the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and amenities by removing trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting curbs and signage as required.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible and using materials efficiently.
• Adhere to Greystar’s safety and risk‑management policies, participating in routine safety meetings.

Required profile

• Ability to follow established maintenance procedures and safety protocols.
• Attention to detail in inspections, documentation, and inventory management.
• Willingness to work onsite in a property environment and collaborate with vendors and contractors.
