Assistant Community Manager – Myrtle Beach

About the role

The Assistant Community Manager will support the Community Manager in overseeing the financial and operational aspects of a residential community in Myrtle Beach. This position handles daily accounting tasks, rent collection, invoice processing, and ensures accurate financial reporting using property‑management software.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and post rent, fees, and other resident payments; prepare daily bank deposits and reconcile accounts.
• Process invoices and payables, code charges to the appropriate chart of accounts, and coordinate with vendors and contractors.
• Generate monthly close‑out and financial reports, and maintain accurate bookkeeping records.
• Operate Yardi/OneSite software, entering data correctly and performing system backups.
• Review resident files for delinquent balances, communicate with residents, and enforce lease terms to maximize revenue.
• Assist with eviction procedures, including notice requirements and representation in court hearings.
• Handle resident move‑out processes, applying lease terms, deposits, and cancellation fees as needed.

Required profile

• Detail‑oriented individual with strong numerical accuracy.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with residents, vendors, and management.
• Ability to follow established procedures and maintain compliance with leasing and eviction regulations.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Yardi or OneSite property‑management software.
• Basic accounting and bookkeeping knowledge.
