About the role
The Assistant Community Manager will support the Community Manager in the financial and operational management of a residential community in the La Porte area. This position handles day‑to‑day accounting tasks, rent collection, invoice processing and reporting using property‑management software.
Key responsibilities
- Collect and post rent, fees and other resident payments; prepare daily bank deposits and reconcile accounts.
- Process vendor invoices, obtain approvals, code charges to the appropriate chart of accounts and coordinate payments.
- Generate monthly close‑out financial reports and assist with budgeting and variance analysis.
- Maintain resident files, identify delinquent balances, communicate with residents and enforce lease terms to protect revenue.
- Utilize Yardi/OneSite to record transactions, perform system updates and ensure data integrity.
- Assist with resident move‑out procedures, deposit calculations and lease termination compliance.
- Support eviction processes in accordance with company policies and represent the community in court when required.
Required profile
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple financial tasks accurately.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with residents, vendors and internal teams.
- Basic understanding of residential property operations and lease administration.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Yardi or OneSite property‑management software.
- Fundamental accounting and bookkeeping abilities.
