About the role
The Assistant Community Manager will support the Community Manager in overseeing the financial and operational aspects of the Kestra community. This full‑time position involves handling accounting, rent collection, invoicing and using property‑management software to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Key responsibilities
- Collect and post rent, fees, and other payments; prepare daily bank deposits and reconcile bank accounts.
- Prepare financial reports and process invoices and payables.
- Operate Yardi/OneSite property‑management software, entering required fields and performing system updates and backups.
- Review resident files and accounting records to identify unpaid or late fees, communicate with residents, and enforce lease terms to maximize revenue.
- Review and submit vendor, contractor, and service‑provider invoices for payment, coding charges to appropriate Chart of Account codes.
- Follow established eviction procedures, represent the community in court hearings and eviction proceedings as required.
- Process resident move‑outs by reviewing lease terms, notice requirements, and applying appropriate charges.
Required profile
- Support the Community Manager in daily financial operations.
- Communicate effectively with residents regarding balances and delinquencies.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors for invoice processing and approvals.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Yardi or OneSite property‑management software.
- Basic accounting and bookkeeping knowledge.
