Airport Traffic Officer

About the role

The Airport Traffic Officer is the front‑line professional who ensures smooth, welcoming experiences for every traveler at San Diego International Airport. Working in the Landside Operations Department, you will guide passengers and support the safe, efficient movement of for‑hire and public transportation services across the airport campus.

Key responsibilities

• Assist passengers, tenants, and partners with directions, information, and solutions.
• Monitor and manage the flow of vehicles and public transport in the landside area.
• Maintain a visible, friendly presence to enhance the customer experience.
• Coordinate with security and operations teams to ensure safety and compliance.
• Respond promptly to incidents or service disruptions and provide appropriate guidance.

Required profile

• Strong service orientation and ability to work in a fast‑paced, highly visible environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to think quickly, solve problems, and make decisions on the spot.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
