Wet Utilities General Laborer – Spanish Speaking (Round Rock, TX)

About the role

DNT Construction is hiring Spanish‑speaking General Laborers to support wet‑utilities projects in the Round Rock area. The role involves assisting with underground utility installations and ensuring trenches are properly backfilled and compacted.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in installing water, sewer, storm‑drain, retention, and underground fire‑suppression systems.
• Excavate, level, handle pipe sections, and backfill trenches.
• Maintain clean and organized work sites.
• Operate or assist with hand tools and light machinery such as compactors, saws, and shovels.
• Support equipment operators and pipe crews as directed.
• Follow all safety regulations and attend site safety meetings.
• Help install and remove traffic‑control devices and construction signage.
• Coordinate with team members to complete daily tasks on schedule.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of construction‑related experience (preferred).
• Willingness to learn and reliable transportation to and from the job site.
• Ability to pass a pre‑employment drug test and background check.
• Physical ability to work outdoors in a demanding, 40‑60 hour work week.

Required skills

• Excavation and trenching.
• Pipe handling and placement.
• Operation of compactors, saws, shovels, and other hand tools.
• Basic traffic‑control device installation.
