Visiting Student – Clinical Rotation

About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is seeking an academic visitor to support education and professional development through hands‑on clinical rotations. This onsite position provides a structured learning environment within a collaborative health‑care team.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in scheduled clinical rotations and observe patient care practices.
• Engage with faculty and staff to enhance clinical knowledge and skills.
• Complete required documentation and immunization records in accordance with UAMS policies.
• Adhere to all safety, privacy, and regulatory standards while on campus.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in an active, accredited program at an affiliated school.
• Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
• Up‑to‑date immunizations (MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Flu, Tetanus) and a negative 2‑step TB skin test or blood test.
• Full COVID‑19 vaccination or an approved medical/religious exemption on file with Student & Employee Health Services.
