Vice President of Production

About the role

The Vice President of Production leads the end‑to‑end creation and delivery of products across all categories, ensuring timely launch, quality, cost efficiency and scalability. This senior leader partners with Design, Merchandising and Sourcing to bring collections to market and optimise global vendor relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute a global production strategy for ready‑to‑wear, accessories, footwear and other categories.
• Oversee the full product lifecycle from concept through commercialization, including product development and technical design.
• Develop scalable processes, manage seasonal calendars and ensure on‑time delivery.
• Lead Product Development and Technical Design teams to translate design intent into production‑ready specifications.
• Maintain strong relationships with factories, negotiate pricing, MOQs and timelines, and onboard new suppliers.
• Control product costing, drive margin targets and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with Design, Merchandising, Planning, Sourcing and Finance.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, fit approval, wear testing and regulatory requirements.
• Build and mentor a high‑performing production organization.

Required profile

• Extensive experience leading production, product development and technical design functions in a global apparel or consumer goods environment.
• Proven track record of delivering complex product lines on schedule and within budget.
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to manage vendor relationships worldwide.
• Excellent cross‑functional collaboration and leadership capabilities.
