Truck Driver – 1st Shift (Mon‑Fri, 8am‑8pm)

About the role

This full‑time position involves operating a commercial motor vehicle to transport live poultry and poultry feed between growers and processing facilities. The driver works a fixed 1st‑shift schedule, Monday through Friday, and must uphold the highest safety standards while on the road.

Key responsibilities

• Perform and document pre‑trip inspections of tires, oil, fuel, lights, brakes, hoses, etc.
• Assist with loading and unloading trailers, ensuring loads are secured before movement.
• Maintain accurate trip, equipment, weight, and time documentation.
• Report any maintenance issues promptly to the supervisor.
• Comply with all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, company policies, and applicable local, state, and federal laws.
• Keep the truck clean and perform routine washing as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum age of 21 years.
• Valid Class A CDL with at least one year of satisfactory driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and write legibly and perform basic math calculations.
• Self‑motivated, able to work unsupervised with a strong work ethic.

Required skills

• Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
• Knowledge of DOT, state, and federal transportation regulations.
• Experience loading/unloading tractor‑trailers and securing live animal loads.
